Finally, I bought myself some books this week! I was very busy with having interviews. presentations, illustrating, and managing a household and job. But sometimes you have to treat yourself very good and get something nice to enjoy! That's what I did and I finally bought Persepolis. It's a graphic novel I wanted to read since years. The first time I heard about Persepolis was when I was a teenager and I found it quite fascinating to hear about Marjane Satrapis childhood story.
The emotional point of view of her as a child about her life in Iran, in war, and about dealing with loss and fear is very moving. I definitely recommend to read her books! The graphic novel is beautiful illustrated and her story simply touching and eye opening for a different view of war conflicts.
