Heck: The complete encyclopedia of illustration
I love browsing through libraries, through book stores and flea markets. I'm always on the hunt for catching nice books! "The complete encyclopedia of illustration" is definitely one of the gems I've found! And the best part: All images are copy right free! It's like a candy store in form of a book for every designer!
The images are in a neat style, clean and accurate reproduction of almost everything and about every topic you can imagine. The original illustrations were made in the 19th century and it showcases many technical details that aren't available anymore. And the best part: These illustrations were made in Germany and they do provide some German information on the illustrations! Yay!
Always keep your head up when you had to a second-hand store or a flea market. You always find beautiful one of a kind books that aren't available anymore. I do love finding illustrated vintage books with illustrations you hardly find anymore.
