Cameron: The artists way
First of all: Is there someone who practiced the ideas of Cameron in this book? I would like to know what your comments and thoughts are. I did follow the instructions until week 6, then my head was already refilled with ideas and inspirations.
This book is a great resource for everyone who is stuck in an artist's crisis. Don't you know what is blocking your art work? You have no idea anymore why you are afraid of a blank paper? "The Artists Way" helps you to locate your blocks and gives you some inspirations how to solve your blockades and find your inner artist again.
This book is very spiritual and at some point maybe too spiritual for certain readers. But this classic literature is a must have for everyone interested in creativity and creative training. The methods and creative workouts are helpful and to face the truth every artist and designer eventually faces a blockade, a tough time or questions their talents. It's a normal process of creative work. The more important it is to have a tool ready to be prepared for tough inspirational times where you start to become afraid of a blank page or questioning your career.
My advice is to never give up what you're passionate about and never give up to believe in yourself and your abilities. Some exercises definitely help you to get back on track and find your artistic confidence back. If you're stuck in your creative work or start becoming scared of working creative you should consider at least to read through a few exercises in this book.
