M.C. Escher. I still remember to look at his picture (a replica) in one of a doctor's waiting room. I was 9 years old and intrigued by the design. The dimension, the way how your eyes are exploring the canvas was a huge inspiration for me. M.C. Escher reminded me of surrealistic dreams. Of course I didn't know how to articulate this with 9 years, but I kept thinking about his images and compared them to my dreams.
M.C. Escher is a great graphic artist and it is worth to have a least one book about his work as a coffee table book. His images simply invite to explore and get lost.
